Inaugural Ceremony
The inaugural ceremony of the New academic year 2024-2025 held on 8 June 2024 in Bethany Auditorium. Reverent Fathers, Vice Principal, dedicated teachers, responsible parents and students attended the meeting. Vice Principal Mr Francis welcomed the autumn gathering, Rev Fr George Thomas delivered an introductory talk. The new year was inaugurated by lightning the lamp and with a pious prayer service. Correspondent Rev Fr Dr John Christopher OIC addressed the gathering and invited students to make use of events in Bethany to enhance themselves. He then gave the instructions to the parents and received their suggestions too. Towards the end, students and parents were welcomed by the class teachers in the respective classrooms. Thus, the inaugural ceremony ended with a positive vibe

Blessing Day

The Blessing day in Bethany Navajeevan Senior secondary school spiritually enriched everyone in and around the campus. The day started with a powerful prayer service by Reverent fathers, where the class monitors of each classes gathered with candle meanwhile the other students and teachers stood in the class and joined in the prayer with lited candles. Students along with their teachers decorated the classrooms, notice boards and surrendered themselves in the hands of almighty. After the prayer, Reverent fathers blessed the entire students, teachers, staff, classrooms, labs, office and vehicles springing holy water. The event brought a positive vibe and spiritual happiness in all of us.
International Yoga Day
Bethany Navajeevan Senior Secondary School celebrated International Yoga day by performing various asanas, demonstrating their dedication to the practice. The event was highlighted by an inspiring speech from the principal, Rev.Fr.Thomas Sijo OIC, who emphasized the importance of yoga for physical health, mental clarity and spiritual growth. His motivational words encouraged students to incorporate yoga into their daily routines and to share its benefits with others. The celebration concluded with a collective meditation session, fostering a sense of unity and peace among all participants.

Investiture Ceremony
The investiture ceremony at Bethany Navajeevan Institutions, held in the Bethany Auditorium, marked a sigificant event where the newly elected school parliament leaders of Bethany Navajeevan Senior Secondary School, Bethany Navajeevan Matric Higher Secondary School and Kinder Bethany International were formaly honored. The 18th annual ceremony commenced with a disciplined March Past led by the NCC cadets, setting a tone of pride and respect. The event proceeded with the welcoming of distinguished guests, including the esteemed chief guest Dr.A Rajeshwari Thomas chairperson of Grace Institute of Technology, Kaliyakavilai, The Correspondent Rev.Dr.Thomas Reji OIC, Educational councillor and the Vice Provincial of Bethany Navajeevan Provice Rev.Dr. John Christopher OIC, Pricipal of Bethany Navajeevan Senior Secondary School Rev.Fr. Sijo Thomas OIC, Principal of Bethany Navajeevan Matric Higher Secondary School and the Bursar of Bethany Naajeevan Institutions Rev.Fr. George Solomon OIC, Asst. Bursar Rev.Fr.Anoop OIC, Vice Principal of Bethany Navajevan Senior Secondary School, and The Principal of Bethany Navajeevan College of Education Dr.S.K. Bernet. This was followed by a welcome dance performed by the students of Bethany Navajeevan Senior Secondary School which added to the celebratory atmosphere. After the welcome dance, the Dignitaries participated in a lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing the light of knowledge and wisdom. Dr.Rajeshwari thomas was then honored during the ceremony, adding to the occasions prestige The chief guest address inspired the attendees, emphasizing leadership and service. Following this, the newly elected leaders,accompanied by their parents, were ceremoniously marched to the stage and honoured for their roles. The elected student pariament leaders took their oath, administered by Rev.Fr.Sijo Thomas OIC Pledging to uphold their responsibilities with integrity and excellence. .

Bethania 2024-25

Bethania 2024 started with an awareness rally on the theme SAVE WATER on 5 August 2024 from Puthukkadai. The first two days were reserved for and on the remaining days the entire campus filled with sports spirit. Marvellous Marathon was held on the second day which started from Palliyadi. Even little kids of Bethany participated in the event. Various arts and sports competition were held. There were individual as well as group events. Almost all Bethanians exposed their inner potential in those five days. Winners were rewarded with medals and trophies. On the final day of Bethania 2024, victory celebration was organised by the in charges. Points for the four houses were announced and the overall championship was won by Miranda. However, all houses and their members expressed positive sprit throughout those days. Principal Rev Fr Sijo Thomas OIC appreciated all for their countless contributions and hardwork.
Independence day Celebration
78th Independence day was celebrated gloriously in Bethany Navajeevan Institution. The fine events held in the Basket ball court. Mr. M. Sundra Rajan,a retired Additional Superintendent of Police, was the chief guest. Speciality of the day was honouring the Army men and Ex Army men. Parents of Bethany students who is working in army at present and who served earlier were invited and honoured by the chief guest for their selfless service. Patriotic spirit brimmed in and around the campus.

Teacher's Day Celebration

On September 5, 2024, Bethany took great pride in honouring teachers for their selfless service to the learning community and society. During the assembly, the Correspondent, Rev. Fr. Thomas Reji OIC, and the Principal, Rev. Fr. Sijo Thomas OIC, adorned the teachers with paper medals. Following this, the students of grade XII performed an impressive enactment, taking on the roles of the Correspondent, Principal, and teachers to pay tribute to their educators. In the evening gathering, the Reverent Fathers expressed their heartfelt wishes to the teachers and presented them with gifts as tokens of appreciation.
Luminescence Expo 2024
The Luminescence Expo was held over two days, with the concluding ceremony taking place at Bethany Auditorium. During the event, all students presented their innovative projects. Eminent personalities from various esteemed institutions evaluated the projects and presentations. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the winners were announced and awarded prizes. The first prize was claimed by Navajeevan Bethany Vidyala, who received a cash prize of Rs. 10,000. Bethany Navajeevan Senior Secondary School secured the second place, winning Rs. 7,500, while Mar Ivanious from Kuzhithurai took third place. Rev. Fr. Thomas Reji OIC, Correspondent of Bethany Navajeevan Institutions, congratulated the winners and commended all participants. The two-day Luminescence event successfully sparked new insights and discoveries among all involved.

Christmas Celebration

A vibrant Christmas celebration was held on December 21, 2024. The delightful event began with the opening of the crib, followed by an eye-catching class-wise procession in which students dressed as Biblical characters. The procession started at the assembly ground, made its way outside the campus, and then re-entered through the Jubilee Gate, leaving a spiritual impression on all who witnessed it.The final segment of the event featured cultural programs, with Reverend Father Thomas Reji OIC delivering a heartfelt Christmas message and extending his greetings to everyone. Reverend Father Sijo Thomas OIC also addressed the gathering, sharing his Christmas wishes with all present. A special Santa dance added a lively highlight to the day's festivities. To conclude the celebration, Christmas cake was distributed to the students.
The event was a wonderful celebration, leaving lasting memories for all who participated.
Annual Day - Triumph 2k24
The Annual Day of Bethany Navajeevan Institutions was celebrated with great enthusiasm and seamless organization on December 23, 2024. The event was presided over by the Very Reverend Dr. Cyril Anand OLC, Provincial Superior of Bethany Navajeevan Province with Dr. T.P. Sreevasan, former Ambassador and Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations, gracing the occasion as the distinguished guest. Mr. Murugan, the DEO in charge, also joined in the celebrations, adding to the joy of the occasion.
The event commenced with a warm welcome extended to the guests and the gathering. The formal proceedings included the welcome address, followed by the Annual Report. The esteemed guests expressed their appreciation for the school's management, staff, and students for creating a pleasant atmosphere and showcasing vibrant, colorful programs. They shared their positive views about the institution and its achievements.
Following the formal session, the program continued with a series of captivating and lively performances, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all attendees. The day's events were truly memorable, creating a lasting and positive impact on everyone present.

Inaugural Address
The formal inauguration was held on June 10, 2023 at 9.00 am. Prayer is the key for success. Prayer and Bible reading remembered the significance of God in our life. This was followed by Lighting the Lamp by dignitaries Mrs. Abila delivered a welcome address. The introductory remarks were done by Fr. George Thomas OIC. Instructions and furure plans were explained by the Correspondent Dr. John Christopher OIC. Vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs. Vismison and the anchor of the program was Ms. Jothilekshmi. The meeting ended with the National Anthem.

Blessing Day
Blessing Day was celebrated at Bethany Navajeevan Senior Secondary Schoool with great enthusiasam and reverence. The day began with a special morning prayer held in front of Bethany office. Students were beautifully decorated their classrooms and created a vibrant and energetic holy atmosphere. The prayer started with an invocation led by the principal of Bethany Navajeevan Senior Secondary school Rev. Fr. Dr. John Christopher OIC. It was a solemn and moving experience that reminded everyone the values of dedicating ourselves to God.

Yoga Celebration

Bethany Navajeevan Senior Secondary School held a special asssembly to celebrate International Yoga Day, where students gathered to participate in yoga session. The session introduced students various yoga postures, breathing techniques and meditation practices. It provided an opportunity to educate students about the importance of balanced lifestyle. And to create awareness about the benefits of yoga, students from Bethany conducted awareness program in Thengapattanam Beach through demonstrating yoga postures. This initiative provided information and encouraged everyone around us to explore yoga as a lifelong practice.
Investiture ceremony
Bethany Navajeevan Senior Secondary School held its 17th annual investiture ceremony on 28 june 2023 to formally induct the newly elected student council members into their respective positions. The event was marked by a sense of pride and enthusiasm to witness the investiture of the student leaders. The ceremony commenced with the arrival of the distinguished guest Dr J Thampi Thanka Kumaran, principal of Malankara Catholic College, Mariagiri, Rev.Fr.Dr.John Christopher OIC principal of Bethany Navajeevan Senior Secondary School, Rev.Fr.George Thomas OIC principal of Bethany Navajeevan Matric Higher Secondary School and parents. The event began with marching of elected students accompained by school band. A prayer was led by Jisho from grade XI. And the welcome dance enabled everyone to feel celebratory atmosphere. The student council members were presented with badges and sashes by their parents and dignitaries. The oath was administered by both the school principals, where the newly elected students pledged to uphold their responsibilities.

Bethany Feast Celebration

The Bethany Feast Celebration in Bethany Navajeevan Institution was filled with vibrant festivities, cultural presentations, and a deep sense of unity. The event was organized to honor the founder of Mar Ivanios and how Bethany holds a special place in biblical histroy due to the interactions Jesus had with Mary, Martha and Lazarus. Initially in the classroom, greeting cards were given to the Bethany Friends among the students and decorated their classroom notice board. Following classroom programs,students from Bethany Navajeevan Senior Secondary School ,Bethany Navajeevan Matric Higher Secondary School, Bethany Kinder International School and Bethany Navajeevan College of Education showcased their talents through dance, song, skit and mine. The School campus was adorned with vibrant decorations and it was organized by the principals Rev Fr Dr John Christopher OIC, Rev Fr George Thomas OIC and Bursar, Fr Bony K Alex. Finally festive cake was given to all students and faculty.
Frans Sal Basketball court Inauguration
The much-awaited basketball inauguration event took place today with great excitement. The ceremony commenced with a grand opening ceremony. Rev Fr Dr John Christopher OIC and Rev Fr George Thomas OIC honour the guest Mr S Rajesh, District Sports & Youth Welfare Officer and Mr Selvarai, the brilliant mind behind the design and construction of basketball court. Then the inaugural basketball match took place between St. Ignatius HSS, kurumpanai and Arunachalam HSS, Thiruvattar. The atmosphere was electric as the players warmed up, and the spectators cheered in anticipation. And the match was won by a Arunachalam HSS

Bethania 2023-24

Bethany Navajeevan Senior Secondary School organized a grand event on 07/08/2023 to celebrated Bethania 2023-24, days dedicated to foster creativity and sense of unity among the participants. The day began with a spirited rally that ignited the enthusiasm of all attendees. Bethania arts evnts began on 07/08/2023. The events featured an array of artistic endeavors including visual, performing and literary. The winners were announced in various cateogries and they were presented with prizes. The announcement of scores and recognition of winners added an element of healthy competition and motivation for participants to continue pursing their points.
Bethania closing ceremony at Bethany Navajeevan Senior Secondary School served as a reminder of the power of the talent,teamwork, and creativity. Miranda took first place with 1760 points, Titania was in second with 1639 points, Umbriel secured third position with 1615 points and Tethys took 4th place with 1587 points. It was a resounding success, leaving everyone eagerly anticipating the next edition. The ceremony was graced by the presence of esteemed principals Rev Dr John Christopher OIC and Rev Fr George Thomas OIC. They praised the students for their dedication, discipline, and commitment to both arts and sports and expressed gratitude to everyone. As the event draw to a close, the winning houses were awarded trophies and all participants were acknowledged for their participation and efforts.
Independence Day

The 77th Independence Day was celebrated in BNI. The Chief guest of the day, Adv.C.Robert Bruce, the Supreme Court Advocate hoisted the Flag and gave presidential address Rev.Fr.George Thomas OIC,the Principal of Bethany Navajeevan Matric Higher Secondary School gave Welcome Address. Next to that, the Class-wise display procession was taken place under the theme of Freedom Fight. In that all the students were participated. In between the programme, the Parents of the students from our Institution, who are worked or working in defence were honoured. Then our Correspondent Rev. Dr. John Christopher OIC feliciated the gathering. In addition, Various Programmes such as Patriotic Dance, Cultural Dance, Mime show, Folk dance, skit and Pyramid were showcased by the students.
Teacher's Day Celebration
Bethany Navajeevan Senior Secondary School organized a memorable Teachers' Day celebration by conducting a vibrant school assembly. The Teachers' Day assembly was held in the school auditorium, with students, faculty, staff and non teaching staff gathered to pay tribute to the beloved teachers. The assembly began with a warm welcome by the VII Rose student Daflin Bernadette, who set the tone for the day's festivities. And then Aaron from VII Rose took the role of Dr. Radha krishanan and presented a speech. Greeshma, Adlyn Esther and Hancy Rajesh shared interesting facts about Teachers' Day and emphasized the role of teachers in nurturing and guiding students. To make the assembly even more special, students gave handmade cards,bouquets, and small tokens of appreciation for the teachers and non teaching staff .

Luminescence 2023

The Luminescence 2023 event was commemorated at our educational institution from the 26th to the 28th of October 2023 with grandiosity, focusing on the theme of Sustainable Development. The inauguration transpired on the 26th of October 2023 at 9 am in the Bethany Auditorium, presided over by the esteemed chief guest, Mr. Anbil Mahesh Poiyamozhi, Minister of School Education, along with the honorable chief guest, Mr. Mano Thangaraj, Minister of Milk and Dairy Development, and His Excellency Most Rev. Vincent Mar Paulos, CEO and Mayor. The historical account of Bethany was eloquently presented by students from the fourth grade. A medical camp, organized in collaboration with NIMS Hospital, Loptical Eye Hospital, and Physiotherapy, took place on the 26th and 27th of October. Various government centers, private establishments, and students from Bethany actively participated, showcasing and exhibiting their respective products at the event. Inter-school and inter-college competitions are conducted, with the first prize amounting to 10,000, the second prize to 7,000, and the third prize to 5,000. Additional entertainment options have been situated, complemented by the placement of food stalls with in the vicinity. The exhibition was open for viewing by school and college students on the 26th and 27th of October, while the general public was granted access on the 28th of October.Thus Luminescence became a grand success.
Annual Day - Triumph 2024
The Annual Day Triumph 2024 took place on 05-01-2024 at Bethany auditorium in a grand manner on the theme “Protect and Prosper”. Kinder Bethany International School, Bethany Navajeevan Matric Higher Secondary School, Bethany Navajeevan Senior Secondary School and Bethany College of Education celebrated the event to recognize the achievement of the students and outstanding contributions of the faculty.
At 3.45 PM, the reception began with a warm welcome for our esteemed chief guests Very Rev Fr Dr Mathew Jacob Thiruvalil OIC and Shri Selvarajan, GM and Head IREL. Student leaders of the institutions greeted them with shawl and floral bouquets. NCC leaders and band troop escorted them to the specially decorated VIP area. The welcoming ceremony included brief speech by Rev Fr George Thomas OIC, expressed gratitude for their presence and acknowledged their contributions to education and society. Rev Fr Dr John Christopher OIC presented the annual report with video presentation. The chief guests were invited to share their insights and motivate the students, adding a touch of inspiration to the proceedings and all dignitaries were honoured with memento. Beats of Bethany, the school song was launched by Rev Fr Thomas Reji OIC and handed over to Rev Fr Daniel Mannil OIC and the song brought great appreciation among students, parents and the guests. Awards were presented to students excelling in academics. A book was realeased by Rev Fr Cyril Anand OIC on the auspicious day. It was written by Hancy Rajesh, Bethany Navajeevan Senior Secondary School made proud of her family and school. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr S K Bernet, principal of Bethany Navajeevan College of Education, expressing gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the annual day

Inaugural Address

Inaugural Ceremony for the academic year 2022-23 for the Bethany Institution was held 08/06/2022 at Bethany CBSE assembly auditorium. Rev.Fr.John Christopher OIC, correspondent, Bethany Navajeevan Institutions and Rev.Fr.George Thomas OIC, Principal, Bethany Navajeevan Matric, Hr.Sec.School and Mr.Sibin Jose, the Chief Academic Mentor. CBSE, adorned the stage. Parents along with the students attended the ceremony with much excitement for the new academic year. The ceremony started with the prayer service to invoke the Almighty. Rev.Fr. George Thomas OIC gave his inaugural address by relating his life experience with Bethany. He also added that students at Bethany institutions are sculpted to land at great places. Following that, Rev.Fr.John Christopher OIC discussed about the abundant fortuities to provide the students for the following academic year. He further stressed on the foremost duties and responsibilities of the parents and students to walk on the path of disciplined life. In addition, he advised the students to set goals and devote time for reaching the goal.
Blessing Day
Bethany Navajeevan Senior Secondary School has celebrated 24-06-2022 as the Blessing Day of the school. Rev.Fr.John Christopher OIC, Principal of Bethany CBSE and Rev.Fr.George Thomas OIC, Principal, Bethany Matric and Rev.Fr.Bonny K Alex OIC, Bursar of Bethany Institutions conducted the prayer session where one student representing each class participated in the prayer session. Students along with the teachers at the classrooms lighted candles and prayed to seek the blessings of The Almighty. The classrooms , labs and library were also blessed with the holy water . Students and teachers felt serene having the presence of Almighty amidst.

Prayer and Orientation for Grade XI

Classes for grade XI started today with a prayer session where the lamp was lit by our principal Rev.Fr.John Christopher OIC, Academic Mentor Mr. Sibin Jose, Mrs. Hermia Mary, Mrs. Ajitha Mary, the class teachers of grade XI, Mrs. Anitha Mary, the Superintendent and also the students representatives . Followed by that, the prayer was led by our Principal Rev. Fr.John Christopher OIC. Thus the Students began their first year Senior Secondary classes with the grace and blessings of the Almighty to get going to achieve success. After moving to the classes. the students had orientation programme with their subject teachers.
Independence day Celebration
Bethany Navajeevan Institutions together celebrated the 75th Independence Day at Bethany Stadium in CBSE campus. The program was started with the display march past of the students dressed up like the freedom fighters and national leaders which were a feast to the eyes of the spectators. The whole campus echoed with the patriotic fervour. Mr.jeyasekaran, Sub Inspector was the chief guest of the program. The national flag was hoisted by the chief guest. Rev.Fr.John Christopher OIC, Correspondent of Bethany Institutions, Rev.Fr.George Thomas, Principal of Bethany Navajeevan Matric Higher Sec.School, Dr.Bernet, Principal, Bethany College of Education decorated the stage along with the chief guest. Followed by that the students who topped the model civil service examination conducted by Race2IAS were honoured by the chief guest, National Anthem was sung by the choir which brought goosebumps to everyone. Next, teachers of CBSE, Matric ,Kinder Bethany were given the map drawing and colouring competition amidsts the student's cheering. Teachers showed their active participation in completing the task. In addition housewise patriotic song competition was conducted among the four houses of Bethania. Students showcased their talents and creativity and presented their songs vibrantly.

Teachers Day

On September 05, 2022 Bethany Navajeevan Senior Secondary School has celebrated "Teachers Day" honoring the teachers for their selfless service. Today, the special Teachers Day gathering was arranged and organized by the Class Teacher Mrs. Jenifer Gladys and the students of grade VII Lily. A student who disguised as Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan had narrated the background of the Teachers Day celebration. A gratitude song was sung by the choir to honour and pay tribute to the teachers .Some of our students of grade X, XI & XII were selected as the acting Correspondent, Principal, Academic Mentors and Teachers. Followed by that teachers were wished by the students department wise and a badge was given to the teachers as a token of love by our Principal Rev.Fr. John Christopher OIC and the acting Correspondent Miss.Mithra. The acting Correspondent told that Teachers are like candles, they burn out to lighten the future of the students. Rev.Fr.John Christopher OIC feliciated by telling that Students are the teachers real wealth. Students have to trust their teachers blindly because, they won't harm the students and their words always focus on students goodness. They are the second parents . On this special day, the feast day of St. Mother Teresa is also coincided .Further, the acting Student- teachers took over the class and had a fruitful teaching experience.
Anti-Drug Rally

Anti-drug rally by the students of Bethany Navajeevan Institutions started at Karumavili, Karungal. The chief guests Mr. Shekar, Sub-inspector of Police, Mr.Samiji and Fr.Nelson, Director of Addiction treatment Ministry, Kottar started the rally. Our Correspondent Rev.Fr. John Christopher OIC welcomed the chief guests and addressed that we should eradicate drugs, students should be aware of the effects of drugs and also he told that in the aspect of creating awareness to the public the rally was organized. Followed by that Bethania torch was handed over to the School Captain and the rally started from Karumavilai and ended at Bethany Navajeevan School.
Inaugration of Bethania
Bethania inauguration was held on 31 october 2022 lighting the bethania torch amidst the chief guests Mr. Shekar, Sub-Inspector of Police, Mr. Samiji and Fr. Nelson, Director of Addiction treatment Ministry, kottar and Rev.Fr.Daniel Mannil OIC, Principal of Bethany Navajeevan Senior Secondary School, Nalanchira and Mr. Bernard, the Principal of Bethany Navajeevan College of Education. The National Flag was hoisted by Mr.Shekar and the school flag was hoisted by Rev.Fr. Nelson. Followed by that, the students took the oath of Anti-drugs. He praised and appreciated our students that they had walked more distance making awareness which was praise worthy. Rev.Fr.Daniel Mannil OIC wished the students to do their best in the sports events. Further the sports events were started and the ground was echoed with the competitive spirit

Bethania Sports Events

After the inauguration of Bethania on 31 october 2022, sports events started vibrantly on the same day. In continuation of that , sports group events were held today. Students of all the houses were energetic and showed their talents and skills in sports on the ground. Followed by that , Arts events will be held tomorrow. Towards the end of the day, Tethys topped with 1157 points, Umbriel with 1129 points, Titania with 1065 points and Miranda with 998 respectively. Bethania serves as a best platform to showcase the talents of the students in all the generes.
Parents Sangamam
The first parents sangamam of grade I to VIII for the academic year 2022-23 held on 03/12/2022 at the Bethany main auditorium. As a part of it, parents met their Ward's class teachers to sign their report cards and enquire about their academic progress. Rev.Fr.George Thomas OIC started the meeting with his introductory address. He told that students should enhance their skills and widen their knowledge beyond the subject knowledge. Memorizing and scoring marks is not enough in the 21 st century, but application skill is essential. He also added that students should break every concepts into tiny particles and have in-depth knowledge about everything they learn. Critically analysing and inquiring skills have to be developed to compare with the world.
Furthermore, in the interactive session with the parents, they shared their views and ideas about their childrens academic life and given suggestion on various genres. Rev.Fr.John Christopher OIC addressed the opinions of the parents and also shared his idea of starting a cricket academy and asked for the parent's concern for the same. Followed by that, Delgates from Race2IAS had a special session with the parents in the conference hall, clearing all their doubts about the IAS course and the coaching classes offered by them

Annual Day

BETHANY NAVAJEEVAN INSTITUTIONS ,Vencode , celebrated its 18 th Annual Day on the 20th of January, 2023 in the main auditorium. KG, MATRIC ,CBSE & B.Ed were joined together in the celebration. The theme of the annual day was “ TO THE ROOT AND TO THE STARS”.
Many eminent dignitaries were present at the annual day celebration. All the students and their parents were invited to this function. The programme started at 3.45 p.m. with the colourful reception of students. The Chief guest of the day was His Excellency Most Rev. Yoohonon Mar Chrysostom , Bishop Emeritus Eparchy of Pathanamthitta . The Guests were seated on the First stage. The March past of NCC students captured the attention of audience, Followed by Buds dance of Grade I &II attracted the audience, Pyramid od Girls, Kung fu of boys were added beauty to the celebration. The programme came to an end at 4.45 pm. After this, the parents and others were asked to move to the maimauditorium . The Guests were received by the Bands set & dance students to the main stage. The first part started with the prayer song and Welcome dance .Welcome address was given by Rev. Fr.George Thomas OIC, Annual Report was presented by Rev.Dr.John Christopher OIC.All the dignitaries were honoredwith memento. Next to that lighting of the diyas by the special guests. The Chief Guest and others shared their thoughts and encouraged the students by their words.This was followed by Prize distribution Ceremony. Dignitaries were received on the stage and prizes were givenfor Toppers, Merit prize holders, Charity award ,and for Tug of war winners , Mr.Satheesh, Master Aashika , Master.Dheeraj were honored for their special works in various fields.The first part of the programme was ended at 7.40.
The second part of the programme was begun with a prayer dance3 at 7.45 pm.The mind-blowing performance of the students got appreciation from all. The parents kept cheering for their children who were performing on the stage. The Chinese dance , Clown dance were impressed the audience beyond expectations. After 1 hours 35 mts of grand performances by the students, the program ended at 9.30 pm with the Patriotic dance and National Anthem of band set . The Correspondent thanked all and extended his warm regards to everyone present at the Annual Day function.Followed by this light show was arranged in the basket ball court to make this event a colourful and unforgettable one.
Kamaraj Birthday And Mar Ivanious Celebration

On July 13, 2018, Kamaraj birthday and Mar Ivanious day were celebrated. There was a small function in the morning assembly. Photos of Kamaraj and Mar Ivanious were decorated and pushpaanjali and flower offering was done by Correspondent Rev. Fr Dr John Christopher OIC. The correspondent gave a message also. The function ended with national anthem.
Bethany Arts
From July 16, 2018 to July 27, 2018, Bethania arts, sports and literary competition started. Students were divided into four houses named St. Alphonsa, St. Mother Teresa, St. Anne, St. Little Flower and the Competition was between these four houses…..First part of the competition literary events like calligraphy, drawing , painting , word power, spelling competition, memory test, poem writing , essay writing, story writing etc…were conducted and from July 16 to July 19 intrahouse competition for sports and arts were conducted..

Bethania Sports Fest

Bethania sports fest started on July 23, 2018 by a torch relay from karumavilai CSI church. The pastor of the church lighted the torch and started the marathon. It started from the church and ended in Bethany and at each prescribed stop 10 students along with one teacher joined in the marathon. After reaching the school, students got ready for March past from class I to XII. Once the torch reached the school, sports fest started with the march past. The sports fest was presided and inaugurated by Mr. David Raj, National fence player. He gave the message for the day and after that the different sports competitions for different categories were conducted. Sports fest went on for 2 days (Aug 23 and Aug 24).
Bethania Arts fest
Bethania Arts fest started on July 26, 2018. There were different arts events for individual as well as for groups.. Students were so happy to participate in them. The arts events were Tamil elocution , English elocution, solo song , solo dance, kummiattam, Marathi dance , folk dance, thirukkural , mimicry, fancy dress , role play etc…. Bethania fest ended with the marathon from Bethany to Bethany and prize distribution. Correspondent Rev Fr Dr John Christopher OIC honoured the winners. St. Alphonsa house won the overall trophy and the runner up was St. Little Flower.

Independence Day
Independence Day was celebrated on August 14, 2018. Expression board competition was conducted house wise. In the afternoon session a small program was arranged, group patriotic song by four houses. Correspondent and principal inaugurated the function. He gave a message for the day. Along with Independence Day we had the founding day celebration of Bethany congregation.
Luminescence

As a part of our creative learning experience, we had our Luminescence and also interschool science exhibition on Oct 05 and Oct 06, 2018. Many schools participated in the event individually and as a team of 3 members. Luminescence’s theme was Development, Destruction and Rehabilitation. Based on the theme each class selected the topic for their own class. Students prepared different models and charts and exhibited their talents. Class wise competition was conducted to motivate the students more. First prize was Rs 5000 and trophy, the Second prize was Rs 3000 and trophy, third prize was Rs 1000 and trophy of the inter school competition.
Parents Sangamam
Parents Sangamam was held on Oct 13, for the academic year (2018 – 2019). All parents from class 1 to class 8 participated in this sangamam. Both negatives and positives from students side were discussed in the meeting. The meeting headed by the correspondent, principal and vice-principal. Correspondent gave a brief outline about the new learning system. He also introduced the website that helps the parents to evaluate their own child’s performance at any time. The meeting got over by 12.00 am. After the meeting parents met the respective teachers to sign the progress cards of their children.

Picnic
As part of our learning program to refresh the students, a small picnic was arranged to the place called Baywatch amusement park, Kanyakumari from class 1 to class 7. We started it from school by 7 am and first reached the St. Mary’s convent for our breakfast and by 10 O’ clock. We reached the theme park. All students enjoyed the trip. We returned to the convent by 5’o clock and then we had light tiffen. We started from 6’o clock and reached school by 8 O’clock.
Annnual Day
Annual day was celebrated on 24th November, 2018. Before one month teachers started to prepare students for the annual day. We had nearly 15 programs which included all classes of both matric and CBSE. The program started at 4.30pm in the evening. The Chief Guest of the programme was Rev Dr. Vincent Mar Paulos, Bishop of Marthandam. Presidential address given by Rev Fr. Mathew Thiruvalil OIC, Felicitation by Mr. Ramachandran Nair, District Educational officer, Kuzhithurai, Annual report for both CBSE and Matric by the correspondent/Principal of the institution Rev.Fr Dr John Christopher OIC. Vote of thanks was proposed by Mr. S K Bernett. The program started prayer song by our school choir. The first half of the program started with a formal speech of the dignitaries and the remaining half was with a cultural program. Along with annual day celebration we also had the centenary celebration of Bethany Ashram, where a small video was played on the development of Bethany all through the 100 years. We also had different cultural programmes like classical dance, bamboo dance, chicken dance, swan dance, English skit, display , Ranglo, patriotic dance, Debate, fashion show , folk dance, light dance. Nearly 500 students performed in the annual day program. All the parents enjoyed and waited till the end of the programme. The program ended at 9.00pm with National Anthem.

Vidhyarambham (October 19)

Incorporating the Indian Traditions and culture, Vidhyarambham was held with active participation of first time learners and parents.
